Teamup supports both configurable default event fields and custom event fields. Formatted text fields are a type of rich-text custom field for better information organization on the calendar.
While single-line text fields are limited in how much text can be input, formatted text fields provide a large text area. The text area has formatting and linking options similar to the Description field (but without file uploading ability).
This special custom field also has configurable visibility for users with different access permissions. You can choose whether the field is visible to all users or only users with modify permission. The visibility setting provides a great degree of control and flexibility for setting up your own unique workflows.
Create a formatted text field
- Open Teamup in a browser.
- Go to Settings > Event Fields.
- Click the + New Field button.
- Enter a field name.
- Choose Formatted text as the field type.
- Set the visibility to All users or Users with modify permission.
- Save.
You can create multiple formatted text fields. The visibility setting applies to the individual field. So it’s possible to have one formatted text field visible only to internal staff members with modify permission, used for internal notes; and another formatted text field visible to all users, for sharing meeting agendas or other event details. See more about formatted text fields.
