Have your calendar link ready
The Teamup mobile app is a companion product of the web-based Teamup Calendar. A master Teamup Calendar needs to be created using a web browser on a desktop computer or a mobile device. If you don’t have a Teamup Calendar yet, create one for free. You will receive a calendar administrator link, which is all you need to access and manage your calendar. Go to Settings and make it work best for you or your group. A calendar administrator manages all calendar links with appropriate access permissions and share the links with the respective users. Check out the Getting Started Guide.
If you have received a calendar link from a calendar administrator or another user, this link is all you need to access the calendar on your Android devices.
Calendar key: Link your app to your Teamup Calendar
You can enter the full URL or just the key of your calendar link that starts with ks followed by a 16-digit random string. Here is an example:Full URL: https://teamup.com/ks09175eafc7c69bf8
Calendar key: ks09175eafc7c69bf8
The “Add Calendar” screen will appear the first time you use Teamup App. You can enter the calendar key manually or copy & paste a calendar key from your browser address bar, email, or another app on your device. Or simply tap the demo key for a quick test drive.
Add and Edit Events
From your main calendar view, simply tap the + sign in the lower right corner to add events
Tap an event to view the details of the event. If you have the modifier permission, tap the green button with the Edit icon. You can modify the basic fields including the text in the details area.
You can upload images from your device’s gallery or camera by tapping the uploading arrow in the top right.
An existing recurring event can be edited but you can not change the recurring pattern, which needs to be done on the web version. If you are offline, your changes would be saved locally and marked with a little yellow triangle. Once you are online again, the changes would be synced to the server automatically.
For calendars on a Premium subscription plan, it is possible to upload pictures from the Gallery and the camera on Android devices.
Viewing Calendar
Swipe to open the sidebar on the left. Here you can switch views among the List, Day, Week, and Month views.
Below the views is the sub-calendar list. Tap the eye icon to the right of any sub-calendar to show that calendar only. Tap the eye icon to the right of list header to show all calendars again. Tap any calendar name or its color square to show or hide that calendar without changing the status of other calendars.
On any view, tap the event to view its details. If you have the modifier permission for this event, a green dot appears and you may tap it to edit the event. Images attached to the event can be displayed right in the event view as shown above. Any files attached the event will appear as clickable links so that you can open them directly from your device.
Addresses in the Where field are clickable and linked to Google Maps.
Sidebar
The left sidebar of the app is where you will find the following important clickable elements:
- The calendar link name.
- The dash board icon to go to the list of calendar links.
- The refresh button to manually refresh your calendar.
- Calendar views: Currently supported views include list, day, week, and month views.
- The color-coded sub-calendars of the current calendar. Tap a calendar to show or hide the sub-calendar, or tap an eye icon to show that one sub-calendar only.
- Settings where you can configure time zone, display or collapse empty days, and remove calendar links.
Dash Board for Calendar Links
If you are the calendar administrator or a user of multiple Teamup Calendars and use multiple calendar links, the Teamup Android app makes it easy for you to manage and access all of them in one convenient place. This is a unique capability of the mobile apps – both Android and iOS – that is not available on the Web version of Teamup Calendar. You can access the calendar dashboard (area 2 as marked in the screen above) via the left sidebar as shown above. You can add more calendar links to your Dashboard using the green + dot in the lower right corner.
